Manager Simon Grayson feels his side are prepared for the busy month ahead, starting with a trip to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
in 0-0 draws, and the gaffer feels that is due to the similarities between the two sides. endedThe last two encounters against Chris Hughton's side have
"We are similar teams, Chris has his teams very organised, disciplined and hard working and we are certainly like that.
"From our point of view we would probably take a 0-0 because we are away from home against one of the strongest teams in the division!
"They are at home and will be looking to get the three points so we know the challenge in front of us.
"We know what to expect from them but they will be looking at our performance against Aston Villa and thinking we played very well against them and Birmingham a few days before that.
"It's a demanding Championship, and we are looking forward to it. It's another good opportunity and I'm sure we will take a good following and it's always a good atmosphere down at Brighton.
The hosts will have plenty of options available to them with a number of players fighting for starting spots, and North End will be no different with players expected to come back into contention.
"Every manager in the Championship will tell you that you need your strength in depth and that will be shown over the next few weeks with the teams we will be playing against, who have been able to carry the budgets and the players they've got. Hence why they are probably all in the top four because they have probably got quite high budgets.
"But we have strength in depth too, everybody at each club are always competing for that shirt and they know full well that you can change it around with playing Saturday, Tuesday or Wednesday each week.
