PNE's Great Dane spoke to PNE PlayerHD after scoring North End's last gasp equaliser at Brighton this afternoon.
Makienok said: "I was happy with today, I wanted to make an impact when I came off the bench and I felt I did that.
"I scored that hat-trick of course against Bournemouth but it's always important to keep pushing on to make my way into the team.
"I haven't played much in the league but it was nice to get a goal and to get some minutes under my belt.
"Jordan's scored some great goals as well so there's great competition and that's what makes a good team."
Before coming on, the Lilywhites found themselves a goal down after Jordan Hugill's early finish was cancelled out by Sam Baldock and Glenn Murray.
But at 2-1, the game remained in the balance and up-stepped Makienok who converted Paul Gallagher's cross with his head to send the away end into jubilation,
"Of course we always want to go for the three points but when you're away to a good side against Brighton it's good to get a point," continued the forward.
"It was a diffcult game against a good side. We had some chances but it was a difficult day for us so coming in and getting a draw is good.
"We changed the formation at half-time because we wanted to get more of the ball. We had the chance to even get three points at the end but one point is good."
