Snods On Spirit Of The Cup

24 October 2016

Assistant manager Glynn Snodin is looking forward to North End's EFL Cup clash with Newcastle United on Tuesday night.

A victory would see PNE progress to the quarter finals of the competition for the first time, and knows that whatever personnel step on the pitch for PNE, the team will be up for the tie.

Speaking of the match, Simon Grayson's No.2 said: "Whatever team we put out there, which ever players play they will want to go out there and win and everybody will be giving it 100 per cent to progress through to the quarter finals.

"What a great game to play in on Tuesday night, to go up there to St James' Park. It's a great venue, big crowd and a great team we will be coming up against.

"It's going to be a great game and everyone just wants to be involved."

After knocking out Premier League opposition in the previous round, whoever comes into the side on Tuesday night will be full of confidence as PNE look to continue their seven game unbeaten run.

"They will have the belief in them already, they have been to a top club and a good team in Bournemouth and we did ourselves proud and hopefully it's the same again on Tuesday night.

"We have got them again on Saturday in the league which is as important for us. The month that we have had, when you looked at it on paper you thought wow that a tough month this is, but the lads have been fantastic with how they have applied themselves in the games so far."
