Greg Cunningham was delighted to put pen to paper on a new three-year deal at Deepdale.
The Irishman has impressed during his time at the club so far, and is hoping to build on that after signing a new contracting keeping him at the club until at least the summer of 2019.
Speaking to PNE PlayerHD after signing the deal, the 25-year-old said: "I'm delighted to have signed another three years, I still had the rest of this season left on my contract so there was no real rush but it's great to get it signed.
"It's an exciting time for the club, you can see with the players that we brought in in the summer and with all of the boys signing on again.
"It's very positive so I'm looking forward to the weekend now and really kicking on for the season.
"I had a great first year and I obviously want to improve and keep pushing on.
Cunningham is the fourth member of the squad to commit his future to the club, and the left back is excited about what lies ahead for the current team.
"I firmly believe in what the gaffer and the management staff are doing at the club and you can see from the boys signing on and the new players coming in that everyone is buying into it and we are looking forward to an exciting season."
