Paul Gallagher praised North End's five star performance in their 5-0 victory over Bristol City.
"We've got players who can hurt teams and it's good to watch these players entertain people and the fans were certainly entertained tonight - I'm sure they'll go home with a big smile on their face.
"I was feeling confident putting balls into the box, some were a bit short but some were fizzed in there and it just needed a touch most of the time.
"When you've got players like Tom Barkhuizen who have such pace, if I play a good ball to him he'll get on the end of it most of the time and he showed his unselfish side by playing in a great ball to Callum - I don't think many would have passed there but he's come in and done extremely well for us with his pace but it was a very good team performance."
North End showed their intent early when Barkhuizen opened the scoring on 25 minutes, and Gallagher felt a disciplined display in the first half was key to a victory that sees the Lilywhites close the gap on the Play-Offs.
"First half was all about finding each other out," continued Gallagher. "They're fighting for their life at the bottom of the league and we knew it was going to be a hard game; we knew as the game wore on we'd have more time to get the ball down and get the players in the game that can hurt them.
"I think you could see from the start we were on the front foot; we were a real handful - we know if we keep it tight at the back we've got players who can hurt teams and you could see that tonight."
