Preston North End have agreed a mutual cancellation of Liam Grimshaw’s contract with the club.
The former PNE No.16 signed for the Lilywhites from Manchester United in January 2016, but was unable to play until the start of the 2016/17 season due to injury.
He started the opening game of the season, away at Reading, in the right back role, but ended the season on loan at Chesterfield.
This season he featured in the Carabao Cup tie at Accrington Stanley, but the club agreed to cancel his deal, which would have been up at the end of the season, to allow him to find a new team that could give him the game time needed.
PNE would like to thank him for his efforts during his time at Deepdale and wish him the very best in his future.
