Preston North End started 2017 with a 1-0 victory on their visit ever trip to the Pirelli Stadium, with skipper Tom Clarke grabbing the winner just before the half-time interval.
Our second visit of the calendar year in our final away game before Christmas, as the Lilywhites look to continue their good recent form with another positive performance and result when they face up against Nigel Clough’s Brewers.
Our hosts on the weekend have been unlucky of late, with goals coming in the latter stages of games to pinch points away from them, often undeservedly, and without those strikes, the Staffordshire outfit could find themselves in a much better position in the table.
Nonetheless, it is evident that they have the quality in the side to cause problems for any team in the division and it will be up to Alex Neil and his men to ensure that PNE are playing to the top of their game in order to get the right result, in front of what could be another big away following.
