The Lilywhites make a trip to Wales for their final game of 2017, as they face Neil Warnock’s automatic promotion chasing Cardiff City in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Alex Neil’s side will look to make their eight match unbeaten run, nine, to take them into a new year, but know they will face a very difficult test against a side who only lost their first game at the Cardiff City Stadium on Boxing Day against Fulham.
When the two sides met back in September, North End ran out 3-0 winners, with Josh Harrop, Sean Maguire and Alan Browne – from 45 yards – grabbing the goals under the floodlights at Deepdale.
However, defeats have been a rare occurrence for the Bluebirds this season and they have been in or around the top two for the whole campaign, with an experienced side available to Warnock and his coaching staff.
