Manager Alex Neil has no new injury concerns ahead of the trip across the Pennines to face Barnsley at Oakwell on Boxing Day.
His biggest concern is still in the full back areas, with Darnel Fisher having joined Greg Cunningham (hamstring), Calum Woods (hamstring), Josh Earl (knee) and Tommy Spurr (knee) on the sidelines for the opening game of the Christmas period at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
John Welsh returned to the squad against Forest, having missed a couple of fixtures, adding to the manager’s options in the middle of the pitch.
Sean Maguire continues to be absent after his operation to reattach his hamstring and it is another week before the manager’s attacking options will be swelled by the arrival of Louis Moult from Motherwell.
Over the festive period the manager may choose to rotate his options, with Daryl Horgan, Josh Harrop and Daniel Johnson all options who were on the bench aagainst Forest and could come into the thoughts for the trip to Yorkshire on St Stephen’s Day.
