Manager Alex Neil’s injury worries continue to ease slightly as he takes his side to the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday to face Nigel Clough’s Burton Albion.
Stephy Mavididi is back in training after a slight hamstring injury suffered at Bristol City, whilst Daniel Johnson is free of suspension after missing the Queens Park Rangers game after collecting five cautions for the season.
With skipper Tom Clarke having completed another 45 minutes against Ian Holloway’s Hoops last weekend there are also decisions to be made at the back for the manager, which is a rare luxury after often struggling to fit round pegs in round holes in defence in recent weeks.
Greg Cunningham and Sean Maguire (both hamstring) and Tommy Spurr and Josh Earl (both knee) all remain sidelined long term, whilst Calum Woods will be assessed before deciding whether he is fit to travel.
