The big doubt for the Lilywhites this weekend is Darnell Fisher, who was substituted during the first half of the win against Sheffield United last Saturday.
Fisher was replaced by Kevin O’Connor, who could retain his place on the left hand side of the defence, if the former Rotherham United defender is ruled out.
On the opposite side of the back four, skipper Tom Clarke is in line to make his 200th appearance for the club, becoming the third member of the squad to have achieved the milestone in the last couple of months after Paul Huntington and Paul Gallagher reached a double ton of games in a lilywhites shirt.
It is still a tale of fellow full backs and defenders being absent; Calum Woods (hamstring), Josh Earl (knee), Greg Cunningham (hamstring) and Tommy Spurr (knee) are all ruled out from the left side of the back line, along with Irish striker Sean Maguire.
Of the list, Calum Woods and Greg Cunningham are the closest to returning; the former will be assessed as to his return, whilst the latter is now back in training, but some weeks away from being fully fit to return to the starting XI.
