Players, supporters and staff alike showed their support for PNE's NCS programme through #NCSmatchday last night.
The first-team squad wore their NCS colours with pride during the warm-up, whilst supporters and PNE staff posed for their photo with PNE's NCS polaroid alongside the Deepdale Duck, many of whom made the Community and Deepdale Duck's Twitter page, (@pnecommunity) (Deepdale_Duck).
Whilst all of that was going on, prior to the game, those of NCS age (Year 11 school leavers) were encouraged to register an interest in this summer's NCS programme, in return for a free ticket to the game in return to watch the Lilywhites claim victory over Birmingham City 2-1.
Various posters and advertising was scattered across the stadium linking to PNE's NCS programme, making it a night to remember on and off the pitch.
Dozens of participants last night registered their interest in Preston North End's NCS programme, and if you're in school leaver Year 11 you can follow suit now!
National Citizen Service (NCS) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity open to 15-17 year olds across England.
It is a unique two or three week full-time programme focused around fun and discovery, plus 30 hours committed to a community project that benefits both young people and society.
On this government backed programme, participants build skills for work and life, while taking on new challenges and adventures, making new friends, and contributing to their community.
Our NCS team are ready and waiting to tell you more about our NCS programme and how you can enjoy the summer of a lifetime. Call 01772 693309 or email NCS@pne.com.
