Young defender Clive Smith has joined Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone on loan for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old came through the Academy at Deepdale, and joins the Scottish side to gain more experience in the professional game.Smith is yet to make a senior appearance for the Lilywhites and will be aiming to make an impression with the Saints to catch the eye on PNE boss Simon Grayson.
The move is the next step in the young player's development after enjoying a loan spell at Bamber Bridge earlier this season.
