Young defender Ben Davies has joined Fleetwood Town on loan until the end of the season.
The loan starts with immediate effect, with Davies available for the Cod Army's game against Shrewsbury Town this afternoon.
Davies, who signed a new contract at Deepdale in November, makes the move to the Fylde Coast to play more games and further develop as a player.
The 21-year-old has featured twice for the first team this season in EFL Cup, and was a part of the team that overcame Premier League side AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The PNE academy graduate, who has been at the club for ten years, has previously been on loan at League Two clubs but now makes the step up to League One with Uwe Rosler's side.
