Alan Browne Signs New Preston North End Contract

27 July 2017

Alan Browne has extended his stay at Deepdale, by signing a new three-year contract with the club.

The 22-year-old joined Preston North End from Cork City in January 2014 and has gone on to make well over 100 appearances in the last three and half years.

This summer, his fine form at club level was rewarded with his first full cap for the Republic of Ireland and now he has put pen to paper on a new deal that runs until at least the summer of 2020.

The North End No.8 feels that he has developed year-on-year and was happy to sign a new agreement.

He said: “I think every year since I've been here, I have agreed a new contract and it is great for me to know that the club is putting that confidence in me and hopefully I can return that to the club.

“I have come a long way since I joined. There have been a lot of ups and downs and it has just been great for me overall to progress like I have and now to continue to do so under the new manager is something exciting for me.”
