Defender Ben Davies has signed a new three-year contract at Deepdale.
The central defender, 22 next month, came through the ranks with the Lilywhites and has now put pen to paper on a deal that keeps him at the club until at least the summer of 2020.
The No.20 already has over 100 professional appearances to his name, after loan spells at York City and Fleetwood Town respectively, that both ended with Play-Off campaigns.
He has featured regularly during pre-season under new manager Alex Neil this pre-season and is delighted to be able to concentrate on his football after agreeing the new terms.
He said: “I'm over the moon. I came back in pre-season not really knowing what to expect, but obviously trying to make my stamp on the team and with the new manager coming in and showing faith in me, it is a great boost so I'm delighted.
“It's about playing football and I want to try and nail down some games this year and with the security of three years, I can do that and focus on playing well for Preston North End.”
