New PNE signing Darnell Fisher has spoken of his excitement after joining the club from Rotherham United.
The 23 year-old full back has arrived at Deepdale for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal.
Fisher has spoken to iFollow about the transfer and hailed manager Alex Neil as a big influence in his decision to come to Deepdale.
“I spoke to the manager and he really sold me on the club. Everything he said to me about the club was positive and he’s going to add to it - hopefully we can do well.
“He’s said he’s going to make me a better player and hopefully I can be a better player under his guidance.”
Fisher made over 30 appearances for Rotherham last season in the Championship and will be teaming up with some familiar faces after coming up against the boys last season.
“It was two tough games we had, we drew here at the end of last season but they were tough games - we held on for a draw last season.
“From playing against them I know they’re good players and they seem like a good bunch of boys.”
