PNE's Primary Stars Programme Endorsed By St Aidan's Primary School

30 June 2017

PNE's PL Primary Stars Programme receives a glowing review from one of the schools who participate in the programme, St Aidan's Primary School in Bamber Bridge.

The Preston North End Community and Education Trust's Premier League Primary Stars programme is continuing in its bid to influence as many primary school children in the local area, and the programme has recently received glowing endorsement from St Aidan's Primary School in Bamber Bridge.

The school has been benefiting from the Primary Stars Programme which sees the Preston North End Community and Education Trust promote healthy active lifestyles whilst delivering key messages, creating healthier and more positive futures for children in the Preston area, and Headteacher Leanne Finch admits the school have been reaping the rewards of the programme since getting involved in the programme this year.

"The uptake in our sports clubs has gone through the roof now Preston North End deliver it," she said.

"We told PNE what we wanted as a school and that started the ball rolling and PNE took care of the rest.

"The U11 season ticket idea is a great idea - the families that come to our school love football and it links in perfectly with the school."

Year five teacher Abigail Barron added: "The children love having PNE and seeing a professional football club. Having them in has helped me and improved my knowledge, giving me more confidence when delivering it."

To watch both Leanne and Abigail talk more about Preston North End's Premier League Primary Stars Programme, watch the video above.
