This Saturday will see schools throughout Preston compete in the historic Preston Schools' Cup Finals competition at Deepdale stadium.
Known as the Dick Clegg Preston Schools' Cup Finals, the day has a long and historic tradition with some finals dating back from as far as the 1920s.
Much talent has passed through the competitons throughout its years, including the likes of Kevin Kilbane and David Lucas who all competed in the finals once upon a time.
This year will see an extra two female finals introduced to the competition as the popularity and support of women's football continues to rise, particularly in Preston.
Nine finals will take place in total throughout the day, and Deepdale will be open to the general public for people to come and watch the next generation in action, for just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
To keep up to date with all fixtures, a programme will be available to purchase on the day for £1 with all money raised from entry fees and programmes being fed back into Preston School Sports.
The competition, spearheaded by Paul Whelan from Sherwood Primary School and Stuart Horn from Corpus Christi High School will see doors open from 8.45am with play getting underway at 9am.
