The Lilywhites make the long midweek trip to the south west on Tuesday night as they face high-flying Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
Alex Neil’s men, like their opponents, saw their last game finish goalless, but with players returning from injury, they will be looking to return to winning ways with a performance against Lee Johnson’s men.
The last three trips to the stadium have all ended in three points for North End, so they will head to play the Robins with a spring in their step.
They could come up against former players in Josh Brownhill and Bailey Wright, the Aussie returning from a two-match ban, whilst Callum Robinson could also play against a former employer, although Greg Cunningham – a match winner at Ashton Gate two years ago – will not be available as he continues to recover from his hamstring operation.
