Manager Alex Neil expects to have another couple of players available for Tuesday night’s clash with Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
Jordan Hugill is available again, after sitting out Friday’s derby with Bolton Wanderers through suspension and will return to the squad and could face up against former room-mate Bailey Wright.
Skipper Tom Clarke and goalkeeper Declan Rudd both returned to the 18 for the Bolton game, but both need game time away from the first team in order to get up to full match fitness.
Tommy Spurr, Marnick Vermijl, Greg Cunningham, Ben Davies, Darnell Fisher and Josh Earl all missed the live TV game, but it is hoped that a couple of the more short term injured could be fit to return against Lee Johnson’s Robins.
Sean Maguire, who collected the FAI League of Ireland player of the year over the weekend, is ruled out until well into the new year after undergoing his operation on his hamstring a fortnight ago.
