These international breaks just seem to drag on more and more, but the wait is almost over and football returns on Saturday afternoon with a big test for the Lilywhites.
They and almost 2,000 fans head south to the capital and the banks of the Thames to take on Slavisa Jokanovic’s Fulham at Craven Cottage as they look to extend their unbeaten run to nine games.
Last season’s Gentry Day affair in Putney proved to be a difficult one, with the Cottagers showing the form that would eventually see them end up in the Play-Offs, but with Alex Neil’s side full of confidence, they will head to the Cottage looking for a reversal of that defeat.
