The Preston North End Community and Education Trust currently have three vacant roles within its NCS department.
The National Citizen Service Programme (NCS) is a UK Government voluntary personal and social development programme for 16–17 year olds that is delivered by Preston North End throughout the year.
The programme aims to:
- Promote a more cohesive society by mixing participants of different backgrounds.
- Support the transition into adulthood for young people resulting in a more responsible society.
- Encourage young people to engage with society to work together to create a social action project in their communities.
The Trust are currently recruiting for an NCS Strategic Manager and two NCS Coordinators that will further enhance an already strong programme delivered by Preston North End.
NCS Strategic Manager
The NCS Strategic Manager will manage all aspects of the NCS Programme at a strategic level. This includes working with key stakeholders to manage the contract, producing a business plan, managing cost/expenditure finances, managing staff and being responsible for the successful delivery of the programme.
The chosen candidate will work with a team of NCS staff (three full-time) to recruit a large number of young people to attend the programme. The Strategic Manager will also book residentials, recruit temporary staff, deliver the programme and encourage young people to stay involved in the programme after graduation.
NCS Coordinator
The NCS Coordinator will deliver all aspects of the NCS programme at an operational level. This includes working with local schools and colleges to build a relationship, and work directly with young people to support and make their experience fun and memorable. Providing office support for the NCS Logistics Manager.
As part of this role, you will need to work with and lead temporary team leader staff, school/college teachers and assistants whilst on the programme.
