North End defender Darnell Fisher has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship player of the month award.
The right back has been in fine form since joining the club as manager Alex Neil's first signing on 26th July.
Fisher made his mark ahead of the new campaign and has played every minute in the Championship so far in an impressive start to the season for North End.
The defender has been a part of a defensive unit who have conceded just one goal in five games, keeping four clean sheets with the only goal coming from the penalty spot.
The 23-year-old faces competition from Cardiff City's Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Sheffield United's Billy Sharp and Ipswich Town's Martyn Waghorn.
The winner will be announced on Friday 8th September, with the judging panel comprising of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trader Mikey Mumford.
