Recently appointed Royals boss Paul Clement feels his side must take advantage of home advantage at the weekend.
Speaking at his press conference ahead of the visit of the Lilywhites to the Madejski Stadium, the former Derby County and Swansea City manager feels that home comforts will be of benefit to his side.
"We are focusing on what we can do. All games are big tests and if we get our performance right I'm positive we can get results.
"Being at home is an advantage, but not a guarantee. The fans were brilliant against QPR and if we have to take advantage of all the remaining home games."
The Berkshire side, whilst without David Edwards - who was sent off intheir defeat at Villa Park on Tuesday night, will welcome back striker Yann Kermorgant, after his one match ban from two yellow cards in the home win over Queens Park Rangers and lso Jon Dadi Bodvarrson and Omar Richards from injury, and Clement says his side must move on from their midweek defeat and focus quickly on the clash with the Lilywhites.
"It’s also very important that we move on very quickly. There’s another game in a couple of days at home against Preston.
“It’s a big game that we really have to try and win.
"We were playing a side chasing promotion and we are fighting relegation and you could see there was a big gap.
"We [went to Aston Villa] believing we could get something, but we have to move on quickly and this is a very winnable game for us.
"Last week went really well for us, but Hull have got a draw with Wolves and Birmingham have got a big result [beating Bolton] so it's tightened things up.
"But I am looking up, rather than looking behind us. Saturday is a big opportunity for us to make a further step towards safety."
