Lilywhites Take Trip To Leeds United In Carabao Cup

16 August 2018

Preston North End will travel to Elland Road in the second round of the Carabao Cup to face Leeds United.

The tie between the two Championship sides will be played week commencing 27th August, with full date, kick-off and ticket details to be confirmed over the next few days.

The two sides meet in midweek action in the league in September, so it will be two trips across the M62 for North End supporters to West Yorkshire in the space of three weeks.

Last season our league encounter was the first away game of the season, ending 0-0, with Alex Neil's side doing well after the loss of midfielder Ben Pearson via a red card.

Only two of the previous 56 games between the sides were in this competition, a two-legged tie in the 1966/67 season, when Leeds triumphed 4-1 on aggregate, winning the home leg 3-0, before a 1-1 draw at Deepdale.
