North End’s No. 10 Josh Harrop admits there’s disappointment in the North End camp, but is confident the team can get through this spell through hard work.
Harrop was adamant in his post-match interview with iFollow that they are putting today’s loss behind them with fixtures against Leeds United in the second round of the Carabao Cup and Bolton in the league next Saturday coming up.
“We need to put this behind us” declared Josh after the game. “We need to get back on the training field, working hard and hopefully we’ll get some results coming our way soon.
“We’ll go into the next game and look to get a good result, we need to put this behind us, crack on now and get back in good spirits.”
Few would argue that North End had their chances in the Derby penalty area this afternoon, but as Alex Neil pointed out in his post-match interview on iFollowPNE, North End were lacking a sharpness to find that final ball, and Harrop was equally disappointed than the 1,000 plus PNE supporters who made the journey to Derby this afternoon.
He continued: “We had a few chances which we should have put away but it just didn’t go our way today. We’re disappointed because we want to come away and put a show on for our fans and get results but as I say today it’s not gone our way.
“It’s always difficult losing but they took their chances today and it’s something we need to work on, we need to start taking our chances and creating more chances as I don’t feel like we created enough chances today. It’s a hard one to take but we need to move on from this fast
“I want to play every game I can for Preston, but today we just didn’t get the result we needed but I just try and work my hardest every game.”
