Matchday Concourse Upgrades Put In Place

3 August 2018

Fans attending Deepdale for the first time since last season will see a number of changes that have been put in place to try and enhance the experience on the club's concourses.

Firstly, in the Alan Kelly Town End, at the two food kiosks we have a new faster contactless payment available, with a brand new till system.

You can now also now pay via contactless payment on all food kiosks in the Sir Tom Finney Stand with the introduction of upgraded tills and card machines, courtesy of Bleep UK and iZettle.

There is also a plan to roll out contactless card payments in the Invincibles Pavilion, but this is not yet in place.

The Sir Tom Finney Stand kiosks have all been refurbished, with new TV menus, just like those installed on the Alan Kelly Town End last season. The Sir Tom Finney Stand also has refurbished and more spacious beer bars, similar to those installed on the Town End.

You can read in our separate story on the website details of a trial of a half-time beer collection system on the Invincibles Pavilion and the Alan Kelly Town End. If this is successful, it will be rolled out across the stadium.

A new till system has been also been implemented in all hospitality areas which include new contactless payment points. In addition to this there are handheld ordering pads for drinks orders in the Invincibles Lounge and along the entire executive box corridor, which will speed up the service of drinks and improve customer satisfaction.

We have a new pie supplier for the 2018/19 season, with Hollands Pies providing their pies to our newly appointed catering partner Heathcote&Co Deepdale. Other new products on the concourses include 'Mom's Hot Dogs' and a new confectionary range. Despite the change in pie supplier, fan favourite butter pies will still be on the menu on the concourses.

There are further plans to improve the beer bars on the Sir Tom Finney Stand in the coming weeks and this includes the re-installation of draught beer, which has commenced stadium-wide. This will take a few weeks to complete.

All of the changes, which also sees Finney's bar open from 12.30pm with pies and peas and a range of confectionary items available, are with the aim to improve service and fans' experience, whether on the concourse or in the corporate areas.

We hope this helps you enjoy your matchday experience with us at Preston North End.
