Preston North End midfielder has received a retrospective three match suspension from The FA for a clash with Joe Allen in Saturday’s clash with Stoke City.
The North End No.12 was been charged with violent conduct following an incident that was not seen by the match officials, but caught on video in the 31st minute of Saturday’s game and the charge was accepted, with the three-match ban applied.
Off-the-ball incidents that are not seen are referred to a panel of three former elite match officials. Each official will review the footage independently to determine whether they consider it a sending-off offence. For a charge to follow, the decision must be unanimous.
Gally will now miss the three away games the club have in the next week, Wednesday night’s trip to Norwich City, the clash with Derby County at Pride Park and then the Carabao Cup tie against Leeds United at Elland Road next Tuesday night.
