Team News For Queens Park Rangers Fixture

3 August 2018

It is the start of a new season and therefore the hope and aspirations of every team in the country will start with a positive outlook.

It is the first time Steve McClaren will name a Queens Park Rangers line-up for a competitive fixture and he doesn't have too many problems to deal with.

Right back Darnell Furlong is sidelined through injury and the game comes too quickly for Grant Hall, who chalked up 45 minutes in a behind-closed-door friendly on Tuesday as he nears a first team return.

For Alex Neil he would have been without Billy Bodin through suspension, but sadly the Welsh international is now out for a much longer period, after sustaining an ACL injury in training this week.

The No.39 joins Sean Maguire on the sidelines, with the Irish striker suffering a hamstring issue in the final pre-season friendly at Oldham Athletic last weekend and will miss the first few weeks of the season.

All the outfield summer signings are available to make their debuts, if selected, with Andrew Hughes, Jordan Storey, Graham Burke and Ryan Ledson all having settled in to the Lilywhites' dressing room.

The team news will be announced at 2pm on Saturday and you can find out who has made the manager's starting XI first by following us on our social media channels.
