North End boss Alex Neil has a number of options available to him for the trip to the Liberty Stadium at the weekend.

Assuming both receive the necessary governing body clearances, Brandon Barker and Lukas Nmecha will both be available for their debuts in South Wales.

Daniel Johnson also completed 90 minutes in a behind closed doors game against Fleetwood Town on Monday, meaning he is also available for selection, having missed the opening day victory over Queens Park Rangers.

The only absentees for the manager are Sean Maguire (hamstring) and Billy Bodin (knee), the latter undergoing his operation on his ACL earlier this week and will now begin the long road back to fitness.

Meanwhile our hosts at the weekend, Swansea City, have received fitness boosts concerning Joel Asoro and Kyle Naughton – although boss Graham Potter has gone down with a sickness bug and missed his planned press conference on Thursday!

Asoro was helped off the field during an open training session at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday, but tests showed the former Sunderland man has suffered no serious damage and he is back in training

They had more positive news regarding defender Naughton, who is also back working with the rest of the Swans squad having missed the opening-day win at Sheffield United with a groin problem.
