Alan Browne admits to enjoying home comforts a little too much – and now he wants some travel cheers!
In the first 11 Championship games of the season at Deepdale, the 23-year-old scored eight goals, all his tally up until the Hull City game, and also contributed three assists.
“I am pleased with how many I have scored, but they have all come at home so far,” the midfielder told The One And Only.
“I need to improve on my away goals. It was the opposite last year, I was doing well away from home and then, for the home games, I wasn’t doing as well.
“I don’t think it makes too much of a difference, I don’t think about it too much, I just try to perform in every game I play in and it just works out it’s been more home than away this year.
“I will just carry on doing what I am doing and hopefully my form will take itself into away games as well.”
He knows it was a tough start to the season, but he is happy with how things have turned around recently as PNE have moved up the table.
“It’s been up and down, we didn’t get off to a great start, but it’s like any other season, you go through a rough patch and you just need to make sure you don’t go through one again for the rest of the season.
“That’s our aim from now until the end of the season.
“For me, it’s been a slow start but I feel like I am getting into the form of last season and hopefully I can kick on from here now and carry us through.”
