Loan Round Up

26 February 2018

With seven players out on loan, we take a look at how they are getting on at their respective clubs.

Andy Boyle - Doncaster Rovers
Andy Boyle played his fifth game for Doncaster Rovers this weekend as two last minute goals from the hosts denied Doncaster all three points at the New York Stadium. The previous weekend saw a 3-0 win for Donny as Boyle and the defence kept a cleansheet against struggling Fleetwood Town.

Ben Pringle - Oldham Athletic
Pringle was last in action for the Latics on Tuesday 13th February when Oldham were 1-0 winners over League One relegation rivals Milton Keynes Dons. Pringle set up the winner, his corner was met by Anthony Gerrard who headed home the only goal of the game. Oldham haven't been in action since after their clash with Southend United was postponed at the weekend due to a frozen pitch. They travel to Scunthorpe United this weekend.

Callum Roberts - Skelmersdale United
After back to back cleansheets against Atherton Collieries and Bamber Bridge, Callum Roberts and Skelmersdale lost the following two league games against Colne and South Shields. The young 'keeper was named amongst the substitutes for United's 2-1 defeat to Scarborough Athletic in their last game and will be looking to regain the gloves for the trip to Kendal Town this weekend.

Eoin Doyle - Oldham Athletic
Striker Eoin Doyle is yet to feature for the Latics since returning on loan on deadline day last month. Manager Richie Wellens is hopeful Doyle will be in action sooner rather than later as Oldham look to climb out of the bottom four.

Kevin O'Connor - Fleetwood Town
Kevin O'Connor has not been involved in Fleetwood Town's last two games at home to Portsmouth and MK Dons through injury. The Cod Army are under new management after the departure of Uwe Rosler with John Sheridan now head coach until the end of the season. O'Connor will be hoping to impress his new boss as he aims to help Town move away from danger.

Marnick Vermijl - Scunthorpe United
Defender Marnick Vermijl has missed Scunthorpe's last three games through injury but Irons boss Graham Alexander is hoping Vermijl's return is not far away. Scunthorpe currently sit fifth in League One, seven points clear of seventh place Charlton Athletic.

Michael Howard - Cork City
After joining Irish side Cork City last week, Michael Howard came on as a late substitute to make his professional debut against Waterford at Turner's Cross on Friday evening. City were 2-0 winners on the night and face Sligo Rovers this evening where Howard will be hoping to get more minutes on the pitch.
