PNE manager Alex Neil has been nominated for the Championship Manager of the Month award for December.
The North End boss led his side through an unbeaten month, with four wins and two draws from the six games.
The unbeaten run saw the Lilywhites close the gap on the top six, and end the year with an impressive victory over Cardiff City in the Welsh capital.
On Neil's nomination, Sky Bet said: "Alex Neil has allied defensive discipline to a determined work ethic and counter-attacking football. The potent combination saw his side go unbeaten, collecting 14 points from six games as they moved to the cusp of the play-off places."
The gaffer is up against Bristol City boss Lee Johnson, Derby County's Gary Rowett and Nuno Espirito Santo of Wolves.
The winner will be announced on Friday 12th January, with the judging panel comprising of former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
