Defender Andy Boyle has joined League One side Doncaster Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.
Boyle joined North End from Dundalk in January last year and went on to make his debut in the 1-1 draw at Derby County in March.
This season, the Irishman has featured five times for Alex Neil's side but his came time has been limited in recent months with competition for places in the heart of the North End defence.
Boyle will be looking to get regular first team football while at the Keepmoat Stadium, Darren Ferguson's side currently sit 14th in League One.
Rovers travel to Portsmouth on Saturday 3rd February, with Boyle fit and available to make his debut.
