Millwall manager Neil Harris has presided over an excellent run of form of late, with the Lions unbeaten in their last six at The Den and he feels that with the transfer window open, he will just be topping up, not making wholesale changes.
Speaking to the club's official website he was delighted with the recent form.
"The form of the players in our team, and the players on the bench waiting to get in, has been top draw. With that in mind, there is no immediate need for someone to come in," he told millwallfc.co.uk.
"Hopefully that continues and it's just about adding to the squad.
"I have been watching the transfers closely and there has been around 11 loan deals over the last two days and I think that shows how thin on the ground it is at the moment.
"There has been next to no movement in the Championship whatsoever. Teams that are looking to loan, like ourselves, you're almost waiting for that spark - someone to move and get the ball rolling.
"Once that happens then teams can start thinking about loaning players out because they will get someone in from somewhere else. We are having to be patient and wait for that knock-on effect.
"It's not about panicking and taking someone that you aren't comfortable with, it's about getting the best player possible for our club.
"We have identified targets and spoke to clubs, agents, and players and we are in a good position with them. We just have to wait for the green light."
Meanwhile, the former Millwall player is expected to recall his team mainstays for the visit of the Lilywhites.
The Lions fielded six changes for their Emirates FA Cup third round win over Barnsley last Saturday and the likes of goalkeeper Jordan Archer, defender Mahlon Romeo, midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe and forward Lee Gregory should return.
Defender Byron Webster is set to step up his rehabilitation following a knee injury which required surgery, however, Shane Ferguson remains sidelined as he recovers from his own a knee problem which the Northern Ireland international suffered before Christmas.
