Pleasing Period For Robinson

16 January 2018

After scoring the equaliser in PNE’s 1-1 draw at The Den, Callum Robinson is a player high on confidence.

Robinson has found the back of the net in PNE’s last two league outings against Millwall and Middlesbrough, and is now looking to cement his place in the side.

Speaking to iFollow PNE, the No.37 said: “On a personal note I’m enjoying my football. I’m still learning and still trying to get better but it’s going well.

"I’ve got to keep it up on a personal note and make sure I keep working hard for the team and listening to the instructions from the gaffer and what he wants from me to keep myself in the team.”

“I have a good relationship with the gaffer and I’m learning every day on the training pitch,” said the 22-year-old. “It’s about listening to the instructions for a Saturday, and then taking them out and listening to those instructions but still doing what you do best on the pitch.”

Now the busy Christmas period is over, the 22-year-old says January has been a welcomed month for the squad.

“It’s been important, one for a little bit of rest and two to get on the training pitch and work together.

"We’ve got a few new lads in as well, so it has been good for them to learn how we do things, so that when Saturday comes they know their jobs.

“With the personnel we’ve got in the team, the quality, from both the bench and the starting team, I think we’ve got a lot to help us break teams down. We’ve got a lot of quality in the final third which is good for competition.
