Preston North End Sell Jordan Hugill To West Ham United

31 January 2018

Preston North End have agreed a club record fee with West Ham United for the sale of forward Jordan Hugill.

The 25-year-old striker has agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal with David Moyes’ Premier League outfit after completing the paperwork on the move.

The Lilywhites signed the Middlesbrough-born man from Port Vale in June 2014 and he went on to make 114 appearances, scoring 30 goals, including ending the 2016/17 season as the club’s top scorer.

Having discussed the potential move with the player, the club felt they could not stand in his way of the chance of top flight football after contact was instigated by the Hammers on Wednesday morning and the player indicated his desire to leave.

Preston North End would like to thank Jordan for his efforts during his time with the club and wish him the very best for this fantastic opportunity.
