The Lilywhites make a fourth round Emirates FA Cup trip to Bramall Lane for the second time in four years this weekend.
The last time the two sides met in the Steel City, North End came out on top, coming from behind to win a replay 3-1, with goals from Paul Huntington and a brace from Paul Gallagher, including a penalty, setting up a fifth round tie with Manchester United at Deepdale.
This time around it is not a replay and the task will be a tough one, with Chris Wilder’s side having an excellent home record so far this season, still sitting in a positive place in the league, looking to push on.
It is only just over a month since the side’s met in the league in PR1, with Alex Neil’s men coming out on top that afternoon, but it was a tight affair and the same can be expected in Sheffield this time around.
