Cobh Ramblers Fixture To Be Played At Turners Cross

3 July 2018

Preston North End’s pre-season friendly against Cobh Ramblers in Ireland on Tuesday 17th July will now be played at Cork City’s home ground, Turners Cross.

The match will still be played with a 7pm kick-off, but has been moved to allow the continued works on Cobh Ramblers pitch to be completed for their league schedule.

The move means a return to Turners Cross for Cork City hero and Irish international Sean Maguire, along with fellow former City man Alan Browne.

Other Irish players could also feature, with the likes of Daryl Horgan, who also played for the club for a spell and young midfielder Adam O’Reilly returning, as well as recent international debutant Graham Burke set to be involved.

Alex Neil’s squad will undertake a training camp in Ireland, as well as taking in the game before returning to complete their pre-season schedule back in England with the home friendlies against West Ham United (Sat 21st July, 3pm) and Burnley (Mon 23rd July, 7.45pm) and then finally with a trip to face Oldham Athletic at SportsDirect.Com Park on Saturday 28th July, with a 3pm kick-off.

Tickets for the Cobh Ramblers game are now on sale and are available for Preston North End supporters online now – click here to book now.
