Cobh Ramblers vs Preston North End Match Preview

16 July 2018

The Lilywhites’ third game of their 2018/19 pre-season sees them in Ireland, to face Cobh Ramblers.

The game is being played, with a 7pm kick-off on Tuesday night, at Cork City’s Turner’s Cross, with the likes of Sean Maguire and Alan Browne returning to the ground they previously called home.

After a 60-30 minute split at AFC Fylde at the weekend; that could be reversed on Tuesday night, with the likes of Maguire and Browne, who came on at the hour mark at Mill Farm, selected to start against the League of Ireland second tier side.

Skipper Tom Clarke missed the weekend’s 6-1 win, along with Josh Earl, but the two travelled with the team to their Irish training camp and will be assessed to see whether they can return to action against a Ramblers side manager by Stephen Henderson, the brother of former PNE keeper Wayne Henderson.

Maguire’s return to Turner’s Cross will see the Irishman look to continue the form he has shown so far this summer, scoring five goals in just 75 minutes on the pitch in his two run outs so far, illustrating why he suggested after signing a new contract that there was plenty more to come from the No.24.

Those wishing to pay on the night at Turner’s Cross can do so, with tickets priced at €15 for adults, €10 for students and senior citizens and €5 for juniors.

iFollow PNE will be bringing continued pre-season coverage of the game, live from the ground, on air at 6.45pm, with Guy Clarke bringing live video coverage of the game.

You can sign up in the UK and Ireland for just £4.49 for the month and receive the coverage of this game, along with our remaining three pre-season fixtures against West Ham United (Saturday 21st, 3pm), Burnley (Monday 23rd, 7.45pm) and Oldham Athletic (Saturday 28th, 3pm).
