The first round draw for the 2018/19 Carabao Cup will take place on Friday 15th June.
The draw will take place in Vietnam at 10.45am UK time, as North End find out who they will face in the opening round of the competition. Preston North End will be ball number 26 in the draw.
There are changes to the process of the draw this time around, with teams still seeded in to Northern and Southern sections, but with no seeding for higher ranked sides as in previous seasons.
West Bromwich Albion will be included in the draw, while fellow relegated sides Stoke City and Swansea City will join the competition in the second round, alongside the Premier League clubs that are not competing in Europe.
Another change to the competition ahead of the 2018/19 season is the removal of extra-time from every round, apart from the final. This change was voted for by EFL clubs, and matches tied at the end of 90 minutes will go straight to a penalty shootout.
The format of penalties will also revert to the traditional format, rather than the recently trialled 'ABBA' formula, which will no longer feature in EFL competitions.
