Derby Days For Your Diary

21 June 2018

For the first time ever, Preston North End, Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers will be in the same division in 2018/19.

And all these draft fixtures are currently scheduled for Saturday, 3pm kick-offs.

The first of the six derby days of the season sees Wanderers come to Deepdale in the final game before the first international break, on Saturday 1st September.

We then entertain Wigan Athletic, again the last game before an international break, on Saturday 6th October and then the final one of our three home derby matches takes place – this time straight after an international break – on Saturday 24th November.

This means all the away day derby matches come in 2019.

The first of these sees us head down the M61 to the Macron Stadium, the venue for last season’s memorable Gentry Day win, on Saturday 9th February.

Our trip to Ewood Park will be on Saturday 9th March and then our final derby game of the season is on Easter Monday, when we head over to the DW Stadium on Monday 22nd April.

Of course all the fixtures are draft at this stage and subject to selection for TV games also to be announced – you can see our separate story detailing when all the TV selections will be made to allow you to plan and book your travel and accommodation when necessary, avoiding the changes.
