Midfielder Paul Gallagher has signed a new one-year deal with Preston North End.
Gallagher, who signed for the club permanently in 2015 after three loan spells at Deepdale, put pen to paper on the new contract which will see him extend his stay with the Lilywhites until at least the summer of 2019.
The experienced midfielder has played over 200 games for the club, and helped guide the side to the Championship during the 2014/15 Play-Off winning campaign.
The 33-year-old featured 34 times for North End last season as he continued his role as a key player both on the pitch and in the dressing room.
After signing the new deal, Gallagher said: "I've really enjoyed myself here and I've seen this project really take off. We were in League One when I came and every year we have got better and always finished higher in the league.
"When you look around the squad it's a young squad and I enjoy the responsibility of being a role model for them and someone they look up to.
"I believe I can still play at this level no problem, I really enjoyed myself last season and when you are looking around at the young players and watching them grow it makes your job a lot easier.
