Daryl Horgan played the final half an hour in Republic of Ireland's win over USA in Dublin on Saturday evening.
The boys in green found themselves a goal down on the stroke of half-time before Graham Burke levelled the scored on 56 minutes.
The goalscorer was replaced by Horgan, the goal his final touch of the game, while the PNE winger picked up his third senior cap for Martin O'Neill's side.
Horgan's North End teammates Alan Browne and Greg Cunningham were both unused substitutes on the night.
The trio will now have a well earned rest before returning for pre-season with the club at the end of the month.
