Preston North End centre half Tommy Spurr has joined Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan.
The 30-year-old defender made five appearances for the Lilywhites last season, but found his appearance time limited by the impressive performances of Paul Huntington and fellow former Cod Army loanee Ben Davies.
The Leeds-born player joins up with Joey Barton’s squad at the start of pre-season, with the opportunity of playing regular first team football.
Tommy arrived at Deepdale in the summer of 2016, after leaving Championship and Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers, signed by Simon Grayson and he has made a total of 24 appearances in his two seasons, scoring once against Norwich City at Deepdale.
Good luck to Tommy in his loan spell from everyone at Preston North End.
