Preston North End will a number of players representing their countries during the last international break of the season.
Ryan Giggs has named his first Wales squad since becoming Dragons manager in January, and has called up Chris Maxwell and Billy Bodin to the senior side for their trip to Asia for the China Cup later this month.
It is the first time Bodin has been called up to the senior side, having played through the youth ranks for Wales from U17 level.
The pair flew to China with the Wales squad following Saturday's trip to Sunderland, ahead of their challenge cup clash against China on Thursday 22nd March.
The winner of that game will go on take on the winner of the tie between Uruguay and Czech Republic in the final on Monday 26th March. There will also be a third place play-off for the two who don't make it to the final.
Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neil had called up four PNE players into his provisional 30 man squad for their match against Turkey in Antalya, but Greg Cunningham has had to withdraw through injury.
Alan Browne, Daryl Horgan, and Sean Maguire made the final 25-man squad and have joined up with their Ireland teammates following Saturday's win over Sunderland. All three will be in contention for the clash on Friday 23rd March.
U18s midfielder Adam O’Reilly has once again been called up to the Republic of Ireland U17 squad by Head Coach Colin O’Brien.
O’Reilly will travel with the squad to take part in the upcoming UEFA European U17 Championship Elite Round qualifiers in Poland, where they will face Georgia, FYR Macedonia and the hosts, Poland in Group three of the tournament.
Fellow Academy player Jack Armer will join up with the Scotland U17 squad as they take on Greece, Norway and Germany this month in the UEFA European U17 Championship Elite Round.
