The gaffer made two changes mid-way through the second half, with the clash against Gary Rowett’s Rams in mind, with Sean Maguire and Paul Gallagher both withdrawn against the Owls.
Daniel Johnson and Louis Moult combined for the former’s first goal in North End colours to enhance their chances of further game time in Monday’s live TV clash.
Greg Cunningham returned for the bench for the game against Jos Luhukay’s side as well and he too could have a chance of coming into the starting XI in the Sky Sports covered fixture.
With two games close together over the holiday period, the manager could choose to freshen things up and with his full squad available for selection, he has the options to change things around if he wishes to do so.
