Darnell Fisher Signs New Contract

22 May 2018

Full back Darnell Fisher has agreed a new three-year contract at Preston North End.

The Lilywhites’ No.14 has put pen to paper after an impressive first season at the club where, other than injury, he was a virtual ever-present on the right side of the defence, racking up 34 appearances.

The 24-year-old former Celtic defender has signed until at least the summer of 2021, having joined the club from Rotherham United on a free transfer in the summer of 2017.

Speaking about committing his extended future to PNE, the Reading-born player said: “I'm delighted to sign a new contract, it's a good club with a good bunch of people and I'm really happy to be here.

"It speaks volumes really that I still had two years left on my contract and then speaking to the club and them wanting to get it done so quick. It just makes me feel so welcome and you want to be a part of that and I'm thankful that the club want me."
