International Preview: Nmecha And Robinson In Contention

18 November 2018

Callum Robinson and Lukas Nmecha could be in action on Monday for their respective nations.

Robinson remains the only North End player in contention for Republic of Ireland's UEFA Nations League clash with Denmark on Monday night, after Alan Browne and Sean Maguire were ruled out through injury.

Callum has started in four of his five appearances for Martin O'Neill's side so far since declaring for Republic of Ireland earlier this year, and will be hoping to feature once again for the boys in green.

Republic of Ireland face Denmark in Aarhus at 7.45pm on Monday 19th November, with their relegation from League B of the Nations League confirmed following Denmark's win over Wales on Friday night.

Ireland have just one point from their three games so far, and are unable to catch Wales in their final game with Ryan Giggs' side finishing on six points, while Denmark are group winners with seven points so far.

Martin O'Neill's side will will now be third seeds for Euro 2020 qualifying, meaning a harder group and a tougher route to qualify for the tournament.

Lukas Nmecha was a late call up for England U20s and could make his debut for Paul Simpson's side on Monday evening as they take on Germany in Colchester, in a 7pm kick-off.

We will have updates on Monday night across our social media channels if either player is involved for their respective nations.
